What is “NewLife”?

NewLife Roleplay is a FiveM roleplay community built around immersive characters, meaningful interactions, and player-driven stories.

Our goal is to give every player room to create a life in the city—whether that means building a legal career, running a business, serving the public, joining a criminal organization, or simply meeting people and developing a character over time.

NewLife is designed to be a community first. Respect the people behind the characters, follow the server rules, and help create scenes that are enjoyable for everyone involved.

What is “Roleplay” or “RP”?

Roleplay means taking on the life of a character that is separate from you as the player. Your character should have their own personality, goals, relationships, history, strengths, and flaws.

While you are in character, make decisions based on what your character knows and what is happening in the scene. Keep out-of-character information separate and give other players a fair opportunity to contribute to the story.

How to get started in the city?

Once your character is created, take a little time to learn the city before rushing into anything major. Explore the starting area, check your inventory, learn the basic controls, and introduce your character naturally to the people you meet.

A good first session is about establishing your character. Decide what they want to do, where they might work, what kind of people they would associate with, and how they would realistically react to the situations around them.

New player tip You do not need to know every system on day one. Ask questions in character when possible and use the Help or Support sections if you run into a technical issue.

Getting your driver’s license

Before driving regularly, check the city’s licensing options and complete any required driving test. The exact location or process may change as NewLife systems are updated, so use the in-city map, help prompts, or support resources if you are unsure where to begin.

Once licensed, drive like your character values their life and the safety of others. Traffic stops, crashes, and vehicle-related scenes should be treated as roleplay opportunities rather than something to rush through.

Starting your first job

NewLife offers multiple ways to earn money and build a career. Start with a job that makes sense for your character, learn how its systems work, and use it as a way to meet other players.

Some organizations and departments may require an application or additional training, while other jobs can be started directly in the city. The Jobs menu at the top of the website will continue to expand as department pages are added.

How to get a phone

Your phone is one of the main tools for staying connected in the city. If your character does not begin with one, check the appropriate in-city store or service location and purchase one when you can.

Use it to build contacts, communicate with friends and coworkers, and take part in the social side of NewLife. Keep in-character communication separate from Discord or other out-of-character platforms unless a server system specifically calls for it.
